Yasontas Burton returns to John Hopkins Elementary where she served as an assistant principal for four years. Previously, she served as the principal of Lake Elementary since 2021. Ms. Burton began her career in education in West Palm Beach, Florida as a kindergarten teacher. She worked there for four years before returning home to work for 桃花社区视频 Public 桃花社区视频 at Lake Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher. She served the Lake school community for 14 years as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher, literacy coach and interventionist. She became assistant principal at Johnson Elementary in 2014, where she served for two years. 

Ms. Burton is a proud 桃花社区视频 graduate from Provine High School. She is super excited to be back at Lake in this new capacity. Her goal is to continue the tradition of great success by ensuring that scholars reach their academic potential and become well-rounded, productive citizens. At John Hopkins, we will make it happen as a TEAM. I am honored to lead this dynamic team of scholars and staff.

Dr. Hemphill began her teaching career at John Hopkins Elementary School 20 years ago. She also attended John Hopkins as a 桃花社区视频 in all of her elementary years. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from 桃花社区视频 State University. She also received her Doctoral Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from 桃花社区视频 State University. She is a proud graduate and product of 桃花社区视频 Public 桃花社区视频. Dr. Hemphill has a vested interest in John Hopkins and the community it serves.
