myfreind has a wii (im thinking of buying one) And my freind bought a nintendo ds internet adapter thing (also combatible with wii) the adapter cost 50 bucks and i rely dont whant to pay that much! i have comcast highspeed internet is there any way that i can just hook up my erthnet wire into it ? will it work?

They are coming out with a connection that you can plug your Ethernet into then plug it into the back of the wii and use as a wired connection. It should definitely cost you less than 50 bucks. I'm not sure on the release date though.

I was looking over the specs of the Wii, and it doesn't look like it has an ethernet port on it. Therefore, you won't be able to hook your ethernet wire into it. Either get a usb wired ethernet adaptor for it, or get a wireless router. Heck, I would say just get a 360 dude, it rocks and has built in Ethernet.

I hooked my internet up with a wireless router. My wii works fine with that...I didn't need a 50 dollar adapter. I don't know about Cable internet though since I got DSL.

The Wii really connects to internet from Time Warner or Comcast or the different broadband internet organization. you may't use AT&T internet because it does not have a modem. The Wii will really connect with internet with broadband and a modem. The on the spot router: it really connects to on the spot g and n routers. Linksys works perfect.
