I just was looking at my cat, I usually check them both. The kitten's pee area looked liked it has bled, as if there was a small scratch there. I do not have money to get her to a vet right away. what should i do for the moment?

Are you sure she is not just in heat? Clean the area with a wet cloth to see if there is a scratch and if she is bleeding a lot.

First, those who have said she may be in heat are WAY off base. Unlike dogs, cats do not bleed when they're in heat. If there's evidence of blood and you can't find an obvious scratch/injury when you clean the area then she needs to be vet checked, as she may be bleeding when she urinates. Bleeding during urination is a sign of a urinary tract infection and there is NO home remedy that will help her. Only antibiotics from the vet will cure it and the longer it goes the more pain she'll be in as the infection progresses. If you do find a scratch or injury after cleaning the area then watch for signs of an abscess like swelling, pus or her becoming lethargic, feverish or not eating. Any of these signs will warrant a trip to the vet.

I understand it's difficult to cough up for visits, but some situations leave you with no choice. By taking ownership of pets, we are taking responsibility for them when they're ill as well as when they're healthy. We make it our responsibility when we bring them into our homes, and the law holds us to that. Failure to provide veterinary care for a sick animal can technically be charged as animal neglect. If she needs a vet, call around and try to work out a payment plan. There's also Care Credit that you could apply for. There's no interest as long as it's paid off within the specified time (usually 3-6 months). You can also check with area shelters, as most of them offer discounted vet services. SPCA is exceptionally great about working with people. If all those options fail, use the page linked below to search for other resources. There's always a way to get vet care if you want it.

1. is the cat a girl?

2. is the cat fixed?

If the cat is a girl and not fixed it might be a period.. one of my friends dogs had there period.
