It comes down to definitions.

Personally I see Spells/Rituals are the same as any other form of Prayer. And as with prayer it requires an element of faith and as such are forms of "Magic".

Having said that I also suggest anyone wanting to preform a spell to consider the ethics involved (other people's rights to free will etc) and a preparation to take responsibility for any negative results you may have missed.

It is simply using your will, focus, emotions and intent. Anything is possible when all are used together. If you could see that your words and thoughts are alive you would understand. Every thought you have is energy and goes out into the multiverse. That is why we reap what we sow. Sure, they're real. The words magic and spells have gotten such bad pr. We do it everyday and don't realize it. We all work magic by thinking and speaking. Some of us are better at it than others because we practice it. These are natural human abilities that we were made to forget. I haven't worked one yet that hasn't worked. All I have to do is think and focus and it manifests. It isn't mystical or supernatural. It's understanding energies and how they operate. It's natural.

Well, since you asked. When I was a kid, my godmothers were both curanderas. They used the Mexican witchdoctor stuff on me. Mom told me this stuff. One lady in church thought I was dressed up cute and she didn't touch me, so she gave me mal ojo unintentionally. (Mom said. I was 2 at the time). So every Sunday I came home from Church as sick as a dog. Finally, one day after church the lady came up and talked to mom, and they figured out what had happened. So the lady touched me, and the spell was broken. Then there was the dog. One day a big dog barked at me and scared me. My mom thought I had suffered from asusto (fright) and she thought I could die from that. So she gave me a spoonful of sugar and she had my godmother come and do a cure on me with a sheet and some bushes. I'm not kidding. Well, it made my mom feel better. That happened several times. I remember it well. Wierd, but true. Mexican moms were very superstitious back in the day.

Magick is real. Read Magick in Theory and Practice by Aleister Crowley. Do the exercises, and find the truth.

You need to define your personal definition of magick first. If you are talking about Harry Potter type things, no but the definition of magick is the art and science of conscious change within the conformity of one's will. By that definition, remodeling a house is a magickal act.

Magic and spells are real if you know what you are doing. Magic is simply manipulation of energy to achieve a desired result, and is used in spellcasting. Nothing supernatural at all about it.

No, they are not real. I think you've been reading too much Harry Potter and not enough Popular Science.

Spells are like Prayer, theres no proof of it, atheist and skeptics will say its a coincidence but its all in the matter of believing and having faith in it.
